Our belief is that God has given us grace so that we can be a blessing to our community.  We want those who live in our surrounding community to know God is a great God and He is actively at work in the world around us.  Our task is to shine the light of Jesus Christ for all to see. 
 
 
We are a Southern Baptist Church and have served the surrounding Meat Camp and Boone communities with the gospel of Jesus Christ for more than 155 years, since our beginning in 1851.  We believe it is our responsibility to gather together to worship God, encourage one another through Jesus Christ our Lord, and join together to share Christ with all the world.


A note from Pastor Mike:
     God is alive and well.  He proves it every day.  He is in control of this world and the forces of nature.  He is sending the snow and we should praise Him for it.  We will hold services as He lets us.
     God has taken one of His children home this past week.  We mourn the passing of Brother Alex Greene on Friday.  However, our loss is Heavens gain.  Please keep the Greene family in your prayers.  God never makes a mistake and we praise His holy name.
    
Some of Our Ministries
There are many opportunities for you to be involved at Meat Camp.  Aside from our weekly worship on Sunday morning, we have Sunday School, or small groups, of all ages that meet on Sunday mornings and a Bible Study every Wednesday night.  For kids, Children's Church meets on Sunday morning and Children in Action is on Wednesday night. 
 
Our Women on Mission and Baptist Men are very active in our community in doing service projects and other ministries.
 
Throughout the year, our entire church joins together for special ministries such as Vacation Bible School and our Fall Festival. 
 
We enjoy worshipping, learning, serving, and fellowshipping together.  We want to invite you to come and be a part of what God is doing all around us!
